Deepa has been working in the field of food science and nutrition for the last ten years. She specializes in medical nutrition therapy for diabetes, heart disease, weight management, food allergies, and other chronic disease conditions.
Her interest in glucose intolerance and celiac disease grew as she started noticing a connection between diabetes and celiac disease. She feels that people with food allergies often follow a restricted diet and thus put themselves at risk of developing other disease conditions.
In her presentation, she will discuss the importance of ensuring nutritional adequacy to prevent an onset of osteoporosis, diabetes, etc. She will also be available to answer questions after the session.
